So my family and me moved to a smaller apartment recently. The downside of smaller is we have far far less storage now then before. That means that currently all our coats end up halfway across the room hung on the back of our dining table chairs. And although we do have a 30$ shoe rack by the door a lot of the time we end up with them piled around.
Also we have another cheap shelf by the door that we keep random things on.
So my “master” (shouldn’t have any reference of me and master in the same sentence) plan is to use the wood I have on hand already. (I do not have the money to spend) and make an ‘all in one’ instead to replace this all and hopefully make it easier to keep that messier area clean.

So this led me to getting a free trial of SketchUp and seeing what I could do with it. And with a couple tutorials and about 4 hours I was able to make this monstrosity.
Anyone skilled in SketchUp I am pretty sure could have done this in a matter of minutes. But this is mine and you cant have it. So with the idea somewhat worked out I am now ready to go out to the workshop and start working on getting this made.
…oh wait, yeah I don’t have a workshop. So with the move I also no longer have access to a lot of my tools (they had to go to storage). So now I do have a garage from my father that I can use but it is defiantly not ideal. I can’t use it whenever I have to prearrange ahead of time. Also a lot of the time there is something in the way, be it a snowmobile or their car, or a project that someone else is working on.
Now my father does have tools I can use available but they are defiantly rough.
So I am going to be working and will update here with photos as I make progress.
